FIFTH ANNUAL DUNCAN’S RUN PATCH RIDE
Harlem Township Heritage held its first Duncan’s Run Bicycle Patch ride in 2011. Six years later, we’re still putting this ride on, and the ride is growing in popularity every year. Tom Nied is the HTH chairman for the ride and is working on details for this year. But some already known details – the date: Saturday, July 9; the location: ride begins and ends at the John Beltz Retreat, 4834 Harlem Road, Galena 43021; Registration from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (or 9:30 a.m.); several route and distance options from short (15 miles) to at least 75 miles. This is a fully supported ride with rest stops with restrooms and snacks, SAG wagon, and end of the ride luncheon at the Beltz Retreat from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. And, as an added attraction, lunchtime musical entertainment will be provided by Columbus music legend, Arnett Howard. For more information or if you’d like to volunteer to help with this ride, contact Tom Nied at 740-965-9355 or Vicki Tieche at 740-965-4535.
The Duncan’s Run Bicycle Patch Ride is sponsored by and put on by Harlem Township Heritage with all funds raised by the ride used to provide entertainment and activities for the community at our annual Harlem Township Days event, August 20-21 in 2016.
